Day 10

Today is pretty much cat day, sorry ahead of time if you're not a cat person. After I captured the first photo of our cat, Blue, resting in the laundry basket, I decided to put the Canon 77mm Close-Up Lens on my 70-200mm f/2.8L IS and just take pictures of things right from my desk chair. This lens (filter) is like a poor-mans macro, but it gives you some crazy awesome small depth of field to capture some really dreamy images. I don't use it that often, but mainly because I forget about it. For under $150, I highly recommend adding one to your camera gear.

Kitty Jail: Blue looks like she's in jail, but it's just her laying in the laundry basket. 105mm, ISO 2000, f/4, 1/25sec handheld (with IS)

Old Whisker Face: This is Sabre, our 22 year old Queen that is awesome! 105mm, f/4, 1/125sec (with IS), 77mm close-up lens attached.

Crazy Boy: This is our new kitty, Stretch. 105mm, ISO 2000, f/4, 1/50sec (handheld with IS) 77mm close-up lens attached.

I sleep with my teeth out: 200mm, ISO 2000, f/4, 1/25sec (handheld with IS) 77mm close-up lens attached.

Old Paw Pads: Sabre's cute markings on her paws. 200mm, ISO 2000, f/2.8 1/80sec (handheld with IS) 77mm close-up lens attached.

Stretch has SoftPaws claw protectors instead of being declawed. These things are awesome.  200mm, ISO 2000, f/2.8 1/80sec (handheld with IS) 77mm close-up lens attached.

Proofs: 200mm ISO 2000, f/2.8, 1/80sec (handheld with IS) 77mm close-up lens attached.

Fish Oil Bottle: 200mm, ISO 2000, f/2.8, 1/2500 sec (handheld with IS) 77mm close-up lens attached.

Little Puma: Stretch has the face of a little Puma. 130mm, ISO2000, f/2.8, 1/80sec (handheld with IS) 77mm close-up lens attached.

Cats Eye Marble: 200mm, ISO 2000, f/2.8, 1/20sec (handheld with IS) 77mm close-up lens attached.
